With more than two decades of experience at varying levels in the Automotive Industry, at the retail coal-face, I truly understand the challenges of driving results in all parts of the Dealership. My bias is in Sales, having operated as a leading Sales Consultant and Sales Manager in both New and Used Cars Departments. My progression to General Sales Manager/Director in Partnership allowed me to see inadequacies in the support and development of sales teams and managers. Lots of trainers and coaches tell you what to do but don’t tell you how to do it. My focus is on the “how”.
In recent times, I have migrated to assisting Dealerships to deliver better results, through my automotive training and consulting services (start learning automotive). As most dealers understand nothing beats experience and the dealers that have engaged me have had definite performance improvements, I have obtained my Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, as well as a Certificate III in Automotive Sales, which has enabled me to create and deliver structured training programs that will increase the skill level of the sales people and managers with measurable outcomes. I am still directly connected to the industry, through both wholesale and main event sales, allowing me to understand today’s market. I engage myself in regular sales events as a closer, which keeps me in touch with the market trends.
I am in a word a ‘sales trainer’ and my focus is on the basics, My style is similar to that of a football coach, I am very process driven, teaching both sales consultants and managers that the sales process is as important as the product and the people that sell it. My specialty is increasing a dealerships sales volume and an overall increase in gross profit. Whether working in a team environment, or mentoring an individual, I can discover the weakness in your team and give you some concrete process to strengthen it. With a wealth of experience, I specialize in commitment selling techniques with a focus on selling a car “today” both floor traffic, phone inquiry and internet lead sales and front count service department.
My passion for people, combined with a desire to boost business results, means that I can create a training environment in which participants are both informed and enthused about building their skills and creating long-term profitable customer relationships.
